Xarel.lo is a native variety with a lot of character and planted from the Lower and Central Penedes regions.

This variety gives an average-size, loose cluster with a rounded, golden, thick-skinned grape. It is a variety with an average strength which produces wines with excellent acidity and a full body. It is the base wine for the majority of cava blends due to its freshness and aromatic lightness.

It is harvested mid-season, in mid September.

Macabeu is a native variety from the Penedes region. This variety is found mainly in the Central Penedes region.

Its grape clusters are compact with a large, thin-skinned grape. This is a vigorous variety which produces white wines with a delicate fruity aroma and a balanced acidity.

It is harvested early from mid-August to the beginning of September.

Parellada is a local variety which adapts well to the highest areas of the Penedes.

Its grape clusters are large with green spherical grapes. This variety produces mild white wines of a moderate alcoholic strength with a delicate, mild aroma.

It is a highly productive, vigorous variety with a late harvest, toward the end of September.

Chardonnay is a variety originally from Burgundy.

Its clusters are compact of an average to small size with a small, rounded, thin-skinned grape. The variety gives average yields and is of a medium vigor. This variety produces highly aromatic wines full-bodied wines and an intense acidity

It is harvested extremely early from mid to late August.

Pinot noir is an original variety from Burgundy.

Its clusters are small, cylindrical and compact. The grape itself is small and round with a thick skin. It is a variety somewhat lacking in vigor, producing wines of average strength and acidity, which are fine, elegant, well-balanced with body.

It is harvested early, from mid to late August.

Trepat is a red grape variety native from the Penedes.

Its clusters are compacts of an average-size, with thick-skinned grapes. This variety produces rosé base wines with a low color, moderate alcoholic strength and delicate aroma.

It is harvested at the end of September.
